A research team is getting ready to open a new trial exploring the role of a novel diet in lupus. As part of this process, they have created a participant information sheet (PIS). This is the document given to people invited to join. It explains what the study is about, what taking part involves, and the possible risks and benefits. The aim is to give people the right information so they can decide whether to take part.
Before the sheet is used, the research team would love to hear from people affected by lupus. They want to find out what works well, and how it can be improved.

- Read the “Draft Participant Information Sheet” document
- Share written feedback on the document via email
- The information sheet, and optional questions to consider, will be shared after you have expressed interest. The PIS will be available to be shared from the w/c 21st September

You can take part if you are:
- Aged 18 and over
- Living with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
No research experience is needed to take part – everyone’s thoughts are welcome!
A maximum of five people can take part.

How your input will be used: Your feedback will be important in shaping the participant information sheet for the upcoming research study. This is an exciting study looking to explore the feasibility of a novel diet in people with lupus. By providing your feedback, you will help the researchers create resources which are easier for participants to understand and contribute to the successful delivery of the study.
Feedback: This is a study funded by Lupus UK. Upon completion of the study, results will be shared with those who are interested via several different streams (for example, newsletter, or press releases) and through publication of peer-reviewed manuscripts
