Eleanor

“I am so excited to begin my journey at Lupus UK as Fundraising and Stewardship Officer. I am based in East London and have a background in environmental charity fundraising. I’ll be supporting Lupus UK fundraisers throughout their journey and making sure they have everything they need. I am really looking forward to start getting to know members of the lupus community and making a difference to their lives.

Alongside my career I enjoy running, hiking, camping, festivals and live music. Earlier this year I did my first half marathon in Brighton to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. I love to travel, and spent my time between University and starting my career solo backpacking around the world. I visited Asia, Australia and South America, my favourite place being the Philippines where I stayed with a local family who taught me about their culture.

I look forward to bringing my outgoing personality and creativity to help guide fundraisers through their journey and put on dynamic and engaging events to raise vital funds and raise awareness for those living with lupus.”

Ann-Marie

“I am thrilled to step into my new role as the Community Services Co-ordinator for Lupus UK. I am based in Northern Ireland, and with me a deep professional background in community development, training, and person-centered support. My career has been dedicated to fostering positive team cultures, managing health and well-being initiatives, and navigating the non-profit sector. With qualifications rooted in the social model for health and well-being, I am excited to apply my experience in stakeholder engagement and service development to build a supportive, empowering network for our volunteers and members across the region.

Beyond my professional life, health and wellness are central to who I am. In my spare time, I practice as a reflexologist, drawing on my passion for holistic care and complementary therapies to support others. This dedication to health also extends to my personal life, where I help my husband manage his type one diabetes, and to my own routine, where I regularly run 10K races to maintain my physical and mental well-being. I look forward to bringing this balance of professional experience and personal vitality to the Lupus UK community.”
