Lunch4Lupus is all about having fun, sharing food and raising money for an important cause. It is completely up to you what kind of event you want to host. It could be a coffee morning, BBQ, afternoon tea, picnic, dinner party, or your own original idea!
The event can take place simply at home with family and friends, in the office, in a village hall, pub, within your local community group or in any location you may wish.
Raising funds during Lunch4Lupus is simple. You can charge people an entry fee, have a collection box or QR code to collect donations on the day, host a raffle or game, or do it all. If you want to host Lunch4Lupus at your workplace, it is worth checking to see if your employer will match any donations you receive.
The easiest way we suggest to collect your donations is by creating a JustGiving page. This means people can donate online and the money will go directly to Lupus UK. We will also send you a collection box for cash on the day.
Making people aware of your event is important, so it is a great idea to send out invitations, share on social media and put up posters to advertise. We would love to see pictures from the day on social media, so be sure to tag our pages and use the hashtag #Lunch4Lupus when posting content.
